“The acquisition helps to strengthen our position as an attractive partner for public and private sector customers with hazardous wastes,” says Per-Martin Schedwin, who heads the Group’s Environmental Services business area. Scanfors A/S, which is part of Stena Metall’s Environmental Services business area, is a nationwide supplier of consumables and equipment to the graphic arts, photography and X-ray sectors. A full-service environmental concept including collections and hazardous waste management is also offered to these customers. Moreover, the company collects and processes electronic waste.
Simplified hazardous waste management
The acquisition of Nicha Miljøteknik A/S gives Scanfors A/S a nationwide company that works with over 3,000 suppliers. “Nicha offers safe, simplified hazardous waste management,” says Per-Martin Schedwin. “This is possible thanks to its extensive collection and transportation system, which is complemented by training and consulting services. The company is also EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) registered and ISO 14001 environmentally certified.”
Nordic leader
Scanfors A/S is part of the Stena Metall Group, the Nordic leader in recycling and environmental services. The Environmental Services business area is active in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
