Applicants for our international trainee program will be interested in a world where recycling the earth’s resources is preferable to consuming new materials. We also value a good sense of humor, and you will have studied for at least three years in higher education.
In January 2011, we will be starting a new intake for our trainee program and we are consequently seeking applicants who are looking to become managers of the future or specialists within the Stena Metall Group. If you join us, your progress can be rapid; one trainee from an earlier intake has already advanced to become a business developer, two others are branch managers and yet another is now CEO of one of our companies.
You will be employed as a trainee, with a placement at one of the companies within our Group. We are offering 18 trainee places in total, 12 of these in Sweden and the remainder in Denmark, Finland, Poland and Germany. If you feel that you were born to be a manager and enjoy doing business, you will get on well in a company that, in addition to recycling, also trades in steel and oil and produces aluminum from 100% recycled material.
You will learn a vast amount about our companies and products, but will also receive training in business economics, leadership and sales management. You will gain practical experience and visit various workplaces, work on improvement projects, create contact networks and receive coaching for a job that inspires you. You will be working at a company where you will be a permanent employee from the first day.
We are looking for at least 1-2 years of work experience, preferably in a variety of workplaces. We would also like to see some kind of documented leadership experience through school, club activities, leisure activities or staff management. It would be a bonus if you have some good ideas for reusing empty tuna cans. But that’s not a necessity!
Language
Training and communication will be in English and we therefore require you to have excellent English skills, both oral and written.
Finally, we are looking for people who are respectful to others and will recycle this advertisement.
