Stena Technoworld has operations for electronics recycling in 11 European countries and own recycling plants in 8 countries; Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic and Romania.

Stena is also the majority stock holder in Griag Glassrecycling AG in Werder, where expertise knowledge in recycling of Cathodic ray tubes (Glass recycling) is offered.

Through the acquisition of Stena Bresch GmbH, of January 1, 2007, Stena took over the recycling plants in Wangerland, Baumholder and Langhagen as well as the Head office in Neumünster. The company has about 90 employees. All plants handle coolings and waste of electronic and electrical equipment.

–        The acquisition gives us significant synergies with Stena Metall Group. The German market is large and is developing fast due to the implementation of the WEEE-directive in the national legislation. The combination with our experiences from the Nordic market creates excellent possibilities to offer a new type of service.
