Tracking our progress

In order to track and communicate transparently about our sustainability progress, Stena Metall publishes an annual sustainability report at Group level, together with the Group's annual review and annual report.

The sustainability report is structured around our three sustainability areas: care for the environment, care for people and care for sustainable business.

Stena Metall's sustainability report is subject to the Swedish Annual Reporting Act. We also report in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI 2021) standard, to ensure a transparent and well structured process.

CSRD new sustainability reporting requirements

As of the financial year 2025/2026 Stena Metall will report according to the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The CSRD is structured in line with ESG, which stands for Environment, Social and Governance. These areas correspond to our three sustainability areas: care for the environment, care for people, and care for sustainable business.

A basis for continuous development

The content of the sustainability report is evaluated by a third party auditor and undergoes an annual internal analysis to identify areas for development. We strive to meet as many relevant recommendations as possible. The sustainability report is an important part of communicating our sustainability work to the wider community and other parts of the Stena Metall Group. Transparency in our work and of our progress and challenges is a part of our commitment to care for sustainable business.
