A recycling lab to stay one step ahead

In our recycling lab we do research to gain greater knowledge of the materials and fractions handled in the business.

We investigate what materials we have in our flow and how we can separate the valuable fractions. The lab is also a place where new technologies and processes can be developed and tested before they are implemented in production.

Partnership for circular solutions

Collaboration is required to manage the transition to a circular economy and more efficient use of resources. Together, we can be innovative, think circular from the start, and design processes and value chains in completely new ways. In collaboration with the broader business community, universities and other partners, we conduct research projects to develop new and innovative circular solutions.

Partnering with university on battery research

Since 2007, we have a partnership with Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.

We fund a professorship in industrial materials recycling, which focuses on two research areas. The first addresses batteries, particularly the black mass containing vital rare metals like lithium, cobalt, and nickel. The second research area concentrates on strategic innovation metals, crucial to technologies such as wind turbines, solar cells, and electric motors.
