The Care for Potential Trainee Program is designed to fast-track ambitious graduates into key operational leadership roles. We are looking for high-potential individuals who combine business acumen with the drive to create measurable results – and who want to build a long-term career within the Stena Metall Group, which Stena Aluminium is a part of.

As a Trainee at Stena Aluminium, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your academic knowledge into hands-on experience, participate in relevant training programs, expand your professional network, and build valuable understanding of our operations and how we create impact. You will work with experienced colleagues in operations and the goal is clear- after completing the 10-month program, you will step into a Project Engineer/Project Manager role, with continued development toward senior operational leadership. You will have great opportunities to influence and develop our processes, technical solutions, and ways of working within a rapidly evolving organization. You will become part of a journey where innovation, sustainability, and technology go hand in hand.

The program starts in September 2026. We have one position open in Älmhult.

Qualifications

  • You have completed a technical university degree, e.g. engineering (Bachelor or Master).
  • You have a maximum of 2 years of relevant full-time work experience after completing your degree.
  • Fluent in Swedish and in English, both written and spoken.
  • Resident within commuting distance of Älmhult.

But more importantly:

  • You are curious and eager to learn.
  • You bring a strong interest in technology, software development and system integration, production, sustainability and innovation.
  • You are comfortable taking initiative even when the path forward is not fully defined.

  • You build trust through strong interpersonal skills and understand that lasting results are created through collaboration and clear communication.
