What is Care for Potential?

Care for Potential is Stena Metall Group’s trainee program for early-career professionals. The program is designed to provide a broad understanding of our business, operations, and values, while giving you the opportunity to shape your career path in alignment with your ambitions.

Who can apply?

The program is aimed at recent graduates or professionals at the beginning of their careers with a relevant academic background. We are looking for curious and engaged individuals who share our values, are eager to drive results, and want to make a meaningful contribution to both our business and society.

How long is the trainee program?

The trainee program typically runs for approximately 18–24 months and includes rotations, development activitiestraining sessions, and joint trainee projects. For the upcoming cycle, the program will run for 10 months, from September 2026 to June 2027.

Is the trainee program a permanent position?

Yes. Care for Potential is a permanent employment from day one, with the trainee program forming part of your structured onboarding and development within the Stena Metall Group.

Which companies within the group can I work in?

The Stena Metall Group consists of eight companies operating in different industries. During the program, you will gain insight into several parts of the organisation and how the group works together. Participants will be employed and actively work in one of the companies within the group.

Does the program include international opportunities?

Yes. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to travel internationally to our various sites, exchange experiences, and build a valuable professional network across borders.

What happens after the trainee program?

Many former trainees continue their careers within the group in various roles and companies. The program is intended as a long-term investment in your development, with future roles shaped by both business needs and your interests.
